When we are out and about we tend to turn heads. People point while driving by and some have even taken pictures. At times we feel like a side show. Mostly I/we are very proud, smile, & answer the same questions repeatedly. Here are some of the comments & questions (with responses) we have gotten from people during our outings:
- "God bless you!"
- "You've got your hands full"
- "Does your husband help at all?" "No. We both help our children"
- "Are they all the same age?"
- "I'd hate to be you!" "That's a terrible thing to say"
- "Are there 3?"
- "Are the boys & girls identical?"(said while standing in front of the triplet stroller)
- "Do they sleep through the night?"
- "It's kinda like octo mom" "Not really. I have 5 less"
- "Did you do in-vitro?" "That's personal, but no we did not."
- "Do twins run in your family?" "Yes, they do".
- "Things will get better & more fun" (from a stranger who has triplets. I live by that comment!)
- "Are they all boys?" (Opal has a pink bow in her hair)
- "Good luck with that!"
- "I'm glad it's not me!" "Me too!"
